I moved online midway through fighting shingles and c-diff. I had no choice. I had no immune system and I was in-and-out of the hospital.

That’s when a virtual assistant started outsourcing some of her work to me. I went from $90,000 contracts down to $25 an hour. I was doing tasks that a high schooler could do: basic spreadsheet, writing tweets…
And then she had me write a sales page, and another, then referred me to one of her “bosses” and my hours slid from 10 hours a week to 40 rather quickly.
Well, while driving from WI to CA, the lady filling in for me botched the job so badly, the entire marketing firm was fired… yet this top-20 engineering company kept me in the loop until I could finish training their inside staffer to write with the branded voice I’d developed for the corporation.
